IS THERE REALLY A GOD ?
The short (and correct) answer is - absolutely YES !
While there are some self-acclaimed "atheists", most people throughout the world believe there is a god (or perhaps many gods). There seems to be something inherent in our human nature that tells us there is a god. Mankind has (a) developed many ways to attempt to know "god", (b) developed many ways to worship "god" and (c) even created their own gods. Yet, for atheists, and for others who are really just "practical atheists", the real issue of life is not whether there IS a god - the real issue is that man is rebellious and does not want any to rule over him nor does he want to be accountable to anyone. Such men follow the pattern of Satan that is revealed in the Bible (Isaiah 14, for example) whereby they make themselves gods so that they have no accountability and they can be free to do as they please (or so they think). The truth of the matter is that there IS a god - and man IS answerable to that God. We read in Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment," Man DOES need to know THAT God - the one, and only, true, living, eternal God. Furthermore, man DOES need to worship that God.
Contrary to the opinion (not fact) of many, the natural world all around us does NOT support the THEORY of evolution as an explanation for the beginning of man and the beginning of all things.
According to the Bible:
"The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork." (Psalm 19:1).
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well." (Psalm 139:14).
"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field, The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas." (Psalm 8:3-8).
"The fool has said in his heart,'There is no God'.” (Psalm 53:1) "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)
“You are My witnesses,” says the LORD, “ And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me." (Isaiah 43:10)
